When you’re stood watching bodybuilders, punks and even alligators high-five you know you’re done something right.
Kopparberg was the first fruit cider in the UK.
It now needed to cheers a new generation of drinkers (GenZ) who were just as obsessed with nostalgia as they were the smartphone in their hand.
In a saturated market with few and little apart, we needed something authentic.
So we turned to the other ‘Firsts’ that had lasted the test of time.
The (true) story of the first High-Five landed us the pitch and then in Kyiv for one of the craziest shoots I’ve ever experienced (masterminded by Director Alex Hulsey in Lockdown of all times).
It was supported by OOH across the UK.
I think it’s worth saying here that I’m especially grateful this shoot led me to the Ukraine. The city of Kyiv, its people and the team at Radioaktive are a no-nonsense bunch that this industry needs. I can’t think of anyone less deserving of what they're facing but more capable of coming out of the other end still standing.
