Around 15 years ago I got my first gig.
It was working as a labourer for my Dad’s electrician business.
I wish I could say this equipped me with secret blue-collar superpowers to create ads.
But in truth, twiddling cables teaches you F-all about writing copy or cutting a 30 second commercial.
What I did learn was that unequalled feeling of putting your head down then stepping back and looking at something you’ve made.
The results may look a little different in Ad Land.
But that feeling still holds true.
